Government Commitment to Chaplains and Welfare Workers

The Independent Schools Council of Australia (ISCA) has welcomed the Federal Government’s continuing commitment to the National School Chaplaincy and Student Welfare Program (NSCSWP) following today’s High Court decision in Canberra.

The Attorney-General and the Minister for School Education, Early Childhood and Youth spoke in a Press Conference today of the government’s commitment to the NSCSWP, and said that the Program will continue to be funded.

Mr Barry Wallett, Acting Executive Director of ISCA, said that the NSCSWP is an important program that provides care and support to students, staff and families in school communities.
