PPI Research Paper – Beyond Gonski: Reviewing the Evidence on Quality Schooling

This report is the fourth in a series by the Australian Catholic University’s (ACU) Public Policy Institute (PPI) and was commissioned by the Independent Schools Council of Australia. It was released in March 2013, and was commissioned following the release of the Gonski report in February 2012. The report provides an up-to-date review of education policies, strategies and practices that improve education outcomes for all.

PPI Issues Paper 3: Parental Contributions to Education

The third report by Australian Catholic University’s (ACU) Public Policy Institute (PPI) and commissioned by the Independent Schools Council of Australia and released in November 2011, examines parental contributions to education and shows that the parental investment in non-government schools has positive effects on the quality and equity of Australian schooling and provides considerable savings to the public purse.

ISCA Submission to the Review of Funding for Schooling – Response to Commissioned Research

On 30 September 2011, ISCA lodged a submission in response to the release of the Paper on Commissioned Research and four research reports by the Expert Review Panel.

The second report by Australian Catholic University’s (ACU) Public Policy Institute (PPI) and commissioned by the Independent Schools Council of Australia and released in May 2011, examines the impact of choice on student achievement and equity and finds ample evidence for governments to continue to fund non-government schools.
