How can Australian schools continue to build on the momentum of the changes brought about by COVID19?

In the wake of the COVID19 pandemic Australian schools saw an unprecedented rapid transition to remote learning, which showed that schools could move faster and embrace change more quickly than many had previously thought possible.

The multinational professional services firm EY has been looking at ways schools in Australia might continue to build on the momentum of the changes they’ve made, to expedite a transition to increasingly data-led and student-focused personalised learning.

Their recently released report A class of their own: How data makes a student more than a number, suggests that for the country to properly take advantage of this moment, there needs to be a cross-sector, nationwide effort driven by the State, Catholic and independent sectors together. They say the challenge in all of this is that schools can’t do it themselves. Neither can departments.
